Sales through the district court
From bid to keys.
The properties we have listed now are sold with our lawyer as the court's assistant. It is a safe way to buy — but it has its own rules. Here is how it works, step by step.
Step 1
Viewing and bid
After the viewing you submit a written bid to the agent — with no financing reservation and proof of financing attached.
Binding period
At least six weeks
The bid must be binding for at least six weeks. With the consent of the parties and rights holders it can be as short as two weeks.
Step 2
To the district court
The agent sends the highest or best bid to the district court, which decides whether to confirm it.
+ 1 month
Appeal period
The parties have one month to appeal after the confirmation. The sale is only final when that period has passed.
≈ 3 months
Settlement and keys
Settlement and takeover normally happen three months after the bid is sent to the court. If the property is vacant and the price paid, it can be earlier — but never sooner than one month after the confirmation.

Seller and buyer need an independent third party for handover and settlement. We prepare the documents, register the transfer and settle the sale in Sunnfjord — with the money secured all the way.
